Questions we get asked
What do I need to get started? A Windows computer or laptop and a phone. That is it. If you already have a till, receipt printer or barcode scanner, we work with what you have.
Do I have to buy hardware? No. Retail Stack runs on the Windows and Android devices you already own. Buying hardware is a choice, never a requirement.
Is the free POS really free, or is it a trial? Free permanently. No card, no clock counting down, no version that stops working. It runs checkouts, prints receipts and closes the day, and it will keep doing that for as long as you use it. You move to Pro when you want to know what you have in stock and what it is earning you, not because something expired.
Can you import my existing stock list? Yes. Send it however you keep it, a spreadsheet, an export from your current system, or photographs of your book. Our team cleans it, matches it against our product database and loads it during onboarding.
How long does onboarding take? Three to four days, and your store keeps trading throughout. We work the inventory clean up and staff training around your opening hours. Nothing stops.
What happens to my data if I leave? It is yours. Export all of it at any time in a standard format, and we provide a full export on exit at no charge. Records we are required to hold for tax or legal reasons are kept securely and set out in our Terms.
Prices exclude VAT and applicable taxes. Founding partner rates are available at our discretion for a store's first twelve months and revert to standard pricing at renewal.
